Among those elected, 15 belong to the National Assembly bloc, currently holding leadership positions within the Assembly, its committees and affiliated bodies. Meanwhile, 19 are from the Government.
Statistics also show that seven generals from the armed forces, all members of the Central Committee, were elected to the new legislature.
Twenty provincial Party secretaries were also elected as National Assembly deputies, including the secretaries of five centrally governed cities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Hue and Da Nang.
