The 9th Ho Chi Minh City Book Festival will be held at the Le Van Tam Park in District 1 from March 21-27.

The organizer said 500 stalls from 200 local and foreign publishers will be on display and many promotion program will be launched during event.

Seminars, speeches from authors and readers, exhibitions on rare and valuable works will be held at the 7 day event.

The fair is an iconic cultural event in the city. It plays an important role in rebuilding and developing popularity of books in Vietnam.

The event is held by the HCM City Information and Communications Department, Sai Gon Culture Corp, HCMC Book Distribution Corporation (Fahasa), the Youth Publishing House, HCMC General Publishing House, and the HCMC Culture–Literature and Arts Publishing House.
