Residents and visitors alike are stopping to admire the distinctive steel horse mascot, which is nearing completion on the sidewalk near the T-shaped bridge, opposite the Da Nang Museum, along Bach Dang Street in Hai Chau Ward.

The highlight of the sculpture lies in its structure, with the whole body pieced together from iron segments engraved with the names of all 94 wards, communes and special zones of Da Nang.

This approach transforms the work into a piece of art deeply marked by local identity.

Across the horse’s back, the name “Da Nang” stands out prominently, crafted in a larger and clearer form than the other place names.

According to available information, the sculpture stands about four meters tall and is made entirely of iron.

It was created by artisan Dinh Van Tam from Quang Tri Province, together with his collaborators.

A representative of the group said the sculpture was transported and installed in the early hours of February 4.

The entire creation process took more than three months.

All stages were carried out manually using shaping and welding techniques, with careful attention to detail that gives the work a sharp and refined finish.
