Beginning June 26, Pacific Airlines will operate daily flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Da Nang, and Chu Lai, with a total of 6-8 flights per day.

During peak periods, the airline plans to increase flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Hue, and Tuy Hoa to accommodate passenger demand.

The planned schedule will see Pacific Airlines offering nearly 1,000 flights, providing over 180,000 seats during the busy tourist season. To support this, the airline will introduce three Airbus A321 aircraft into its fleet.

Alongside the resumption of flights, Pacific Airlines is set to comprehensively upgrade its service standards. Customers will experience service levels comparable to those of Vietnam Airlines.

A significant change includes the introduction of business and economy class services that include meals and baggage in the airfare, similar to Vietnam Airlines. Additionally, passengers will benefit from the Golden Lotus mileage accumulation policy.

Earlier, Pacific Airlines faced severe financial difficulties, including a cash flow shortage and significant overdue debts threatening default. Consequently, Vietnam Airlines and its shareholders decided to settle the debt by paying off the entire fleet of Pacific Airlines, leading to the departure of the airline's last aircraft from Vietnam on March 18.

Pacific Airlines, Vietnam's first low-cost airline, was initially invested in by the Australian Qantas Group. However, due to poor business performance, Qantas Group exited in October 2020, transferring its 30% share to Vietnam Airlines as a gift.

By the first quarter of 2022, this transfer was completed, with Vietnam Airlines now holding nearly 99% of Pacific Airlines' shares.
