Pacific Airlines is set to take off again on domestic routes starting June 26, after more than three months without operational aircraft.
Despite great efforts to restructure it, Pacific Airlines, the 30-year old budget air carrier of Vietnam, is still bogged down in difficulty. It is on the verge of bankruptcy and has no airplanes.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Việt Nam (CAAV) asked Pacific Airlines to submit its fleet restructuring and operation plan before March 22.
A direct air route linking the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s South Jeolla province and Vietnam’s central province of Khanh Hoa will be put into operation from late October, the Korean southwestern province’s authorities announced on August 21.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just asked Pacific Airlines to report on their current capital condition, and whether they meet the requirements to continue operations.
Vietnamese airlines have recently unveiled plans to resume air routes following the containment of the second coronavirus outbreak, showing the fact that the aviation market has begun to pick up again.
