Metal fragments are collected and given to relevant authorities by local residents in Ninh Thuan Province’s Phan Rang City.

Tran Thi Kim Xuyen, a resident in Bao An Ward, told the Tuổi trẻ (Youth) newspaper that she heard the plane’s roar followed by blasts and grating sounds on tree branches while she was pushing a sand cart.

"When I looked up, a large part of the outer bark of our mango tree was stripped," Xuyen said.

The incident caused a light injury on the leg of the eight-year-old boy Phạm Nguyen Lam Vy.

Chau Thi Xuan, a resident living two meters away from Xuye’s house, said some objects inside her family’s kitchen were pierced and fragments caused a large hole into the back wall of the kitchen.

Apart from Xuan’s house, the other three houses nearby of Chau Thi Xuan, Nguyen Van Bình and Dang Thi Dieu reported that their walls were penetrated.

As soon as the incident occurred, representatives from local military bodies, provincial police and Air Force Regiment C937 made it to the scene to gather metal fragments and searched for the cause.
