This year the two events, which attract more than 600 million viewers, will be hosted by Malaysia, with the participation of 11 nations, including: Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore and East Timor. 
Particularly, the 29th SEA Games will take place from August 19th through August 31th, 2017, and the 9th ASEAN Para Games will be from September 17th through September 23rd, 2017. Most of the activities will be held in Kuala Lumpur.

As a platinum sponsor – the highest rank - Ajinomoto Co., the parent company of Ajinomoto Vietnam Co., Ltd., will provide products like seasonings, soups, coffee... depending on the cuisine of each country to athletes. Moreover, Amino VITAL® – amino acid based products - will also be supplied to athletes. These products aid in conditioning during extreme workouts, providing substantial muscle-building properties as a typical protein supplement and helping replenish energy during endurance sports.

Since 2003, Ajinomoto Co. has been working on the Victory Project® (a project that supports activities including sports nutritional guidance and amino acid conditioning for elite athletes at international tournaments) to support elite athletes in Japan through the free provision of the Ajinomoto Group’s products and nutritional support through Kachimeshi® program (Kachimeshi means ‘winning meals’ in Japanese) - Ajinomoto Co.'s sports nutrition meal program for building a winning physique.
