Vietnam’s swimming star Nguyen Thi Anh Vien won two bronze medals in the women’s 200m individual medley and the women’s 800m freestyle event on the last day of competition at the 2016 Asian Swimming Championships in Japan on November 20.

She came in third with a time of 2min 12.95sec in the women’s 200m individual medley.

Meanwhile, Japanese Ohashi Yui took the gold medal with a time of 2:11.46, which is a new championship record. Her teammate Imai Runa claimed the silver medal with a time of 2:12.58.

Hours later she finished third in the women’s 800m freestyle event, with a time of 8:38.21.

In the event, Chinese swimmers Hou Yawen (8:26.49) and Dong Jie (8:35.21) bagged gold and silver, respectively.

Earlier, on November 17, Vietnam’s swimming star earned a gold medal and set a record in the 400m individual medley category with 4:37.71 and won a bronze medal in the 200m freestyle.
