Top Vietnamese female swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien failed in the women’s 200m medley at the FINA World Swimming Championships (25m), which wrapped up in Canada yesterday.
Vien couldn’t reach the final round after ranking 10th in the qualifying round with a time of 2:10.69.
Last year, Vien won a bronze medal in this category at the FINA World Cup in Moscow, with a time of 2:12.33.
Earlier, in the women’s 400m medley, the Can Tho-born Vien overcame the qualifying round but was disqualified in the final round because of a false start.
At the Asian Swimming Championships last month, Vien won one a gold and two bronzes.
