Archaeologists from the Ha Tinh Museum found such antiquities which were dated back to the 14th and 16th centuries in Xuan Hoa, Xuan My, and Xuan Vien Communes in Nghi Xuan District.

The antiques are traditional, hand-made pottery and porcelain. The most prominent might be a set of ancient porcelain bowls and plates that were covered by sapphire and brown enamel and have lotus petals, and decorative motifs of leaves and flowers, that were typical of style of the Tran and Le Dynasties.

There was one particular plate found that was said to belong to the Le Dynasty era, made of porcelain and covered by ivory-white enamel. The plate is 25 centimetres in diameter. Inside the plate there are two concentric circles. The centre has a flower-shaped decoration and the boundary has leaves and flower ornamentation.

Two clay pots are believed to have come from the Tran Dynasty. They are 40 centimetres tall, with opening of 20 centimetres in diameter, and a base of 25 centimetres. The pot was covered by a deep brown enamel and has simple decorations.

A jar belonging to the Le Dynasty was made from clay with a milky enamel. The jar is 50 centimetres high, the mouth has a diameter of 15 centimetres and the bottom has a diameter of 20 centimetres.

They also found an oil lamp shelf dating back to the 16th century, when was the Mac Dynasty. It was made from milky pottery. The shelf is square and has meticulous patterns, including lotuses on the top and four unicorn heads around. The shelf is an addition to the rare collection of Mac Dynasty antiques.
