At its “Awe Dropping” event, Apple officially unveiled the iPhone Air - its thinnest iPhone in history, measuring only 5.6mm thick. Despite the ultra-slim form factor, CEO Tim Cook emphasized that the device delivers “Pro-level performance in a lightweight design.”

Slim, powerful, and feature-rich

The iPhone Air boasts a 6.5-inch ProMotion display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Apple describes it as the most durable iPhone yet, thanks to a titanium frame sandwiched between two layers of Ceramic Shield.

Powering the device is the latest A19 Pro chip - Apple’s most powerful iPhone processor to date - paired with the new C1x modem developed in-house. Apple claims it’s twice as fast as its predecessor. In addition, the iPhone Air includes the new N1 chip supporting Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread connectivity.

Despite its ultra-thin body, the iPhone Air offers all-day battery life, capable of streaming video for up to 40 hours. To optimize space and battery, Apple has eliminated the physical SIM slot, supporting only eSIM. iOS 26, which ships with the device, introduces an adaptive power-saving mode.

Camera system and dual recording

The iPhone Air features a dual 48MP rear camera system, including a 12MP telephoto lens. A standout feature is the ability to simultaneously record with both front and rear cameras, capturing the user and the surrounding environment in one take.

The 18MP front-facing camera supports Center Stage, automatically adjusting the frame to include everyone in the shot without needing to rotate the phone.

Apple is offering the iPhone Air in five colors: black, white, beige, pearl white, and light blue. Alongside the launch, the company introduced a new range of accessories, including ultra-thin clear cases, reinforced polycarbonate bumper cases, and crossbody straps.

The iPhone Air starts at 31.99 million VND (approximately $1,255 USD) for the 256GB model. Pre-orders are open now, with official sales beginning on September 19.

Also launching is iOS 26, arriving on September 15. The new OS features a “Liquid Glass” design language with transparent, rounded aesthetics, giving apps and navigation bars a glossy, bubble-like visual effect.
