The National Archery Cup will be organised in Vinh Long Province on April 17-23 with the participation of 180 athletes.

Vinh Long Province’s athletes are preparing for the National Archery Cup on their home turf next week. 

The athletes are coming from 15 cities and provinces, including strong hubs such as Hanoi, HCM City and Hai Phong.

They will compete in 36 disciplines for individuals, doubles and teams, in two categories of recurve and compound.

“The archery championships are one of the elite national sports events organised annually. It aims to test athletes’ quality and select the best for the national teams, who will take part in regional and international tournaments, especially the Southeast Asian Games in Malaysia this August and the Asian Games in Viet Nam in 2019,” Nguyen Thanh An, deputy director of Vinh Long’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Department, said.
