Argentina’s U-20 squad arrived at HCM City on Monday, receiving a warm welcome from local supporters, the media, and their fellow countrymen in the city.

Argentina’s U-20 squad arrived at HCM City on Monday, receiving a warm welcome from local supporters, the media, and their fellow countrymen in the city.

The friendly visitors arrived comfortably at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport. They happily took photos with fans, despite the hot weather which differs from the winter season in their hometown.

Coach Claudio Ubeda said though it was hot, the conditions would provide a good chance for his players to familiarise themselves with the weather in Asia before taking part in the World Cup in South Korea. Argentina has prepared well and are keen to win the trophy.

Argentina will have two practice sessions at the Thong Nhat Stadium on Tuesday.

The Vietnamese U20s also landed two hours earlier in the city.

Captain Nguyen Quang Hai said Argentina was a strong team, but it would not be easy to beat Viet Nam. He expected his team to surprise them. The match would be both interesting and competitive.
