He said this is an important match as it decides the squad’s position in Group D, which also includes Japan, Pakistan, and Nepal.
According to the coach, they analysed the football tactics and techniques of Nepali players in different matches.
Park said following the match against Pakistan on August 14, Vietnamese players have good spirit and health conditions, stressing that all of them are now ready to do their utmost to satisfy the unwavering passion of their fans.
Vietnam’s Olympic football team beat their Pakistani rivals 3-0 in the first group match in men’s football.
With the victory, Vietnam takes the lead in Group D with three points, earning them a greater chance to qualify through to the next phase.
The team will face Japan on August 19.
The men’s football event will finish on September 1, which features 25 teams in two groups of five and four groups of four. The top two teams from each group and the four best third-place teams will advance to the second round. –VNA
