The Hi-tech Agriculture Experiment Area in Viet Doan Commune, Tien Du District has over the past years become one of the regular and large flower suppliers in the locality.

To prepare for the Lunar New Year or Tet market, the centre which belongs to the provincial Department of Science and Technology has made available 35,000 orchids, more than 2 hectares of lily and tens of thousands of tulip roots.

Director of Centre for Sci-Tech Advance Information & Application, Bui Huu Tho said "We have grown new kinds of orchids on a trial basis. We have mastered the technique. Sales during the upcoming Lunar New Year will be the foundation for us to expand our production next year."

Among Tet flowers, peach blossom is one of the most popular. According to gardeners in Vo Cuong Ward, Bac Ninh City, this year’s weather is considered to be quite favorable for the growth of peach trees.

 Nguyen Thanh Manh  who is a flower grower from Vo Cuong ward, Bac Ninh city, Bac Ninh province shared "This year, we doubled our area of peach blossoms to about 300-400 plants. The weather is relatively favorable for the Tet blossoms."
