Russia’s Sputnik agency has revealed top 16 most beautiful waterfalls on Earth in observance of World Water Day (March 22), including the Ban Gioc waterfall on Quay Son River in the northern mountainous province of Cao Bang.
The Ban Gioc Waterfall measures 35 metres high and spans 300m. Great water columns can be seen from a distance. It is separated into three layer-falls by rocks and trees. Large volumes of water pouring down to lime stone steps form a curtain of white spray. Rounding on the list of top 16 include Iguazu Falls of the Iguazu River on the border of Argentina and Brazil Waterfall on the Kuril Islands, Russia The Rhine Falls in Switzerland Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge, Oregon, the US The Blue Nile Falls, also known as Tis Issat or Tissisat Falls, in Ethiopia Seljalandsfoss Waterfall in Iceland Victoria Falls, located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe Dettifoss Waterfall in Iceland The Nachi Waterfall in Nachikatsuura, Japan Gullfoss Waterfall in Iceland The Cheonjiyeon Waterfall on Jeju Island, the Republic of Korea Yosemite Falls in North America Jog Falls, also known as Joga Falls or Gerosoppa Falls, in India and Niagara Falls, Canada. |
