Bangkok Glass of Thailand won the International Women’s Volleyball Tournament, VTV9-Bình Điền Cup, held in the southern province of Tây Ninh on April 30.
Bangkok Glass defeated VTV Bình Điền Long An 3-1 in the final to bag the title.

Despite receiving encouragement from fans gathered at the Tây Ninh Gymnasium, Long An were defeated 22-25 in the first set. However, they performed some quick counter-attacks in the second set to crush Bangkok Glass 25-22.
The Thai team, however, proved their power in the third and fourth set, beating the Vietnamese team 25-15 and 25-22.
The third place went to Yunnan of China, which defeated club 4.25 of North Korea 3-2.
The winner received a prize of US$15,000, while the runners-up got bonuses of $10,000 and $7,000 each.
The event’s best striker award went to Tr ần Thị Thanh Thúy of VTV Bình Điền Long An and Sun Fang Qiong of Yunnan.
The 11th edition of the tournament saw the participation of three Vietnamese teams and five foreign teams, which were divided into two groups that competed in a round-robin format.
