A Malayan sun bear that was rescued in a wildlife trafficking case in northern Vietnam was put under the care of Animals Asia and the Vietnam Bear Rescue Center on July 30, local media said.

VietNamNet Bridge - A couple from Australia has worked hard for six years to sponsor the Bear Rescue Centre in Vietnam, hoping to help the endangered animal from extinction.

 More than 80 people from Viet Nam and around the world gathered together on their bicycles last Saturday in the name of a good cause.

Located on an area of 12ha in Chat Dau Valley of the Tam Dao National Park in Vinh Phuc Province, with a total investment of more than $3.3 million, the bear rescue center was established in 2005 but it is in danger of relocation.
