Dutch photographer Loes Heerink once lived in Hanoi and started taking photographs of street vendors from above as they travelled through Hanoi streets. Now, she wants to create a book of photographs.
Loes Heerink has lived in Hanoi for nearly four years. “I want people to see what I see. I believe street vendors in Hanoi create little pieces of art every day,” she said. “I want people to see the beauty and hopefully appreciate the vendors a little bit more,” Heerink added. Loes said she was inspired by the street vendors since she arrived in Vietnam. But only a couple of months before she returned home, she went to take one last picture of a flower vendor from a bridge – hoping to catch only the vendor in her image. Loes is now hoping to return to Vietnam in order to take enough photos for a book. She’s launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds needed for the project. |
