According to new regulations, beer bars and restaurants are allowed to reopen in Hanoi. However, after lengthy quarantine restrictions, many of Hanoi’s famous hangout spots have been permanently closed. The once-busy open-till-midnight beer establishments have now returned their venues. For many passersby, seeing these establishments ruined and demolished is unpleasant.

A pub on Thai Ha Street, once famous for its ancient mountain style, is no longer in business. From the outside, the restaurant is left with only stubby walls and wild trees.

Mai Huong, a local resident, said that this daily opened establishment used to be very famous and was the most crowded in the area. However, the bustle is gone and the scene of demolition compared to an abandoned house has surprised many people.

Similarly, in Trung Hoa Nhan Chinh street, where many foreigners live, another beer restaurant has been closed. The shop has two fronts with an area spanning thousands of square meters. Since there is no one managing, weeds are overgrown, windows are dusty, and the sidewalk outside is filled with garbage.
