More than 50 companies, including those in the defense, pharmaceutical, financial and tech sectors, will participate in a meeting held in Hanoi by the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC).

With a population of 100 million people, Vietnam has a rapidly-growing consumer market, as its middle class expands.

Among them are streaming giant Netflix and the Elon Musk-owned tech firm SpaceX. Aircraft manufacturer Boeing is also participating in the trip. In 2021, the firm opened its first office in the nation’s capital city of Hanoi.

U.S. investors poured billions of U.S. dollars into the nation’s energy, logistic industries and port infrastructure, according to a representative of the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.

The delegation also includes semiconductors companies, pharmaceutical firms like Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson, Abbott, VISA, Citibank, Meta and Amazon Web Services.
