VietNamNet Bridge – Multiple boats have begun transporting a wide range of ornamental trees and flowers from the Mekong Delta region to Binh Dong Wharf in HCMC’s District 8 for citizens in this city to buy for decoration during the forthcoming Lunar New Year holiday (Tet).

Those boats sell various types of ornamental trees and flowers, from ficus to plumeria, apricot and starfruit trees at Binh Dong, which usual gets bustling one month ahead of the biggest holiday in Vietnam.

A gardener named Le Van Dung from Ben Tre Province, who has sold ornamental trees at Binh Dong Wharf for years, said every year from the beginning of the twelfth lunar month, flowers and bonsai growers in the Mekong Delta boat their products to HCMC for sale and that a vessel can carry a maximum of 300 pots of plants.
