This year’s annual event is expected to draw the participation of 200 Vietnamese billiards players as well as several foreign players from Turkey and Cambodia.

Leading Vietnamese player Tran Quyet Chien, the champion of the 2023 Three-Cushion Carom Billiards World Cup, is also set to show off his skills at the event.

Local players will compete in a knock-out format in the preliminary round, and the best 32 players will be selected to face guest competitors from Turkey and Cambodia in the final round.

The total prize money stands at VND200 million, including VND60 million which will be awarded to the champion.

This year’s tournament is scheduled to last through to July 16.

The annual event was first held in 2012. This year marks its 11th edition jointly organised by Binh Duong Radio and Television Station, Binh Duong’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Sports Authority of Vietnam.
