Party Secretary of Sapa District Nguyen Trong Hai said the body of the missing tourist was spotted from the cable car line.

The body was found one kilometre away from the cable car line pillar 4.

The searchers are trying to find a way down to collect the body since the ravine is steep and dangerous.

According to the search and rescue force, Webb’s may have died three days ago.

Colonel Tran Van Kim from the National Search & Rescue Committee under the Ministry of Defence said, "The search and rescue teams told me at 1.30pm that the sniffer dogs had found the ravine where the missing tourist fell. However, it would take at least two hours to access the place and bring the body out will be a difficult task."

Police in Lao Cai Province have been sent to the scene. They expected to transfer Webb's body to Sapa by 10am tomorrow.
