To prevent the situation of people picking green coffee to sell on the market, Dak Ha District People's Committee has established an interdisciplinary inspection team to conduct inspections on harvesting, preliminary, processing and selling of coffee.

Dak Ha district is the locality having the largest coffee production area in Kon Tum province, with a total area of 12,260 hectares. Particularly, the district has 13 fields totaling 1,939 hectares specializing in coffee production using high technology. In recent years, Kon Tum province has issued many policies to develop and produce coffee in a sustainable manner.

Implementing Resolution No. 05 of the Dak Ha District Party Committee on building the Dak Ha Coffee brand to reach international level, producing coffee in a sustainable manner, in recent years, the authorities of Kon Tum province and Dak Ha district have issued many policies in order to improve product quality and developing the "Dak Ha Coffee" brand to reach an international level in the period of 2020 - 2025.

Implementing the roadmap to build the Dak Ha Coffee brand, local businesses and cooperatives have set up close links with international economic organizations and scientists to receive information and coffee sustainable farming techniques. The sustainable coffee production cooperative groups have been established in the district and they have been operating effectively, with the number of members and rising quickly. The operation of these organizations have helped improve productivity and coffee output. In addition, unique factors in the farming and harvesting process of indigenous people in the geographical area also contribute to the delicious flavor of Dak Ha coffee.

To further improve the quality of coffee products to meet international market requirements, the district has focused on mobilizing businesses, cooperatives and households to invest in equipment systems and apply high technology into coffee production and processing stages.

For example, to ensure a high rate of ripe fruit in the harvesting process and continue to build the brand "Dak Ha Coffee", Dak Ha district has promoted propaganda and management in coffee harvesting and consumption. To date, the district has 12 finished coffee processing facilities, with many products trusted by domestic and foreign customers such as pure powdered coffee, instant coffee, 2 in 1 instant coffee, 3 in 1 instant coffee with coconut flavor, pure weasel coffee, filter bag weasel coffee, durian coffee...

In December 2019, the National Office of Intellectual Property issued a certificate of geographical indication registration for Dak Ha coffee. Dak Ha District People's Committee is the organization managing this geographical indication.

The Dak Ha coffee geographical indication area has an altitude of 580 - 650m, including: Dak Mar commune, Ngok Wang commune, Ha Mon commune, Dak Ui commune, Dak La commune, Dak Long commune, Dak Pxi commune, Dak commune Ngok, Ngok Reo commune, Dak Hring commune and Dak Ha town, in Dak Ha district, Kon Tum province. This is an area with soil types suitable for the growth and development of coffee trees, which is also one of the factors that create the special properties of Dak Ha coffee geographical indication.

The fact that Dak Ha coffee products are granted a geographical indication protection certificate is an honor, which is also associated with the responsibility of preserving and promoting the reputation and product quality of the local authorities and people.

Known as one of the 8 best coffee regions in Vietnam, in early 2014, Dak Ha powdered coffee product with the brand "Bitter taste of the North Central Highlands" was officially recognized as meeting UTZ Certified standards. This is the first time UTZ Certified has awarded certification to a Vietnamese powdered coffee product.
