Anthony Brown of Australia won the second Viet Nam Mountain Bike Marathon, which closed yesterday in Sa Pa, Lao Cai Province.

Brown completed a three-day tour, with an overall time of 7hr 19.13min over the 143km route, with an average of 1,300 gain.

He was followed by Tim Oleary of New Zealand and Jonas Trindler from Switzerland.

In the women’s race, Dutch Liesberth Kanis took the top position after 10:43.28.

Patricia Weismantel and Dawn Johnson, both of the US, were second and third, respectively.

Brown and Kanis were also the winners of all three individual stages. — VNS
