Previously, the Politburo reassigned Do Van Chien, a member of the Politburo and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, removing him from his positions in the Executive and Standing Committees and as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations.

Do Van Chien has now been appointed to the Executive and Standing Committees of the Party Committee of the National Assembly and serves as its Standing Deputy Secretary for the 2025–2030 term.

Bui Thi Minh Hoai was born in 1965 in Ninh Binh Province. She holds a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in law. She is a member of the 13th Politburo and has served in the Party Central Committee since the 10th term (as an alternate member), and as a full member in the 11th, 12th, and 13th terms. She is also a National Assembly deputy of the 15th legislature.

Hoai has held numerous leadership roles during her political career, including many years of service in former Ha Nam Province.

From March 2009 to March 2011, she served as Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union.

Between March 2011 and January 2023, she held the positions of Deputy Chair and then Standing Deputy Chair of the Central Inspection Commission.

At the first session of the 13th Party Central Committee in February 2021, Hoai was elected to the Party Secretariat. Two months later, she was appointed Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission.

In May 2024, during the 9th plenary session of the 13th Party Central Committee, she was elected to the Politburo.

By July 2024, the Politburo assigned her as Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.

She was re-elected to this position in October 2024.
