Bui Thi Minh Hoai re-elected as chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term.

Hoai, who currently serves as Secretary of the Party Committee for the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central mass organizations, previously held the position during the 10th tenure.

Born in 1965 in Ninh Binh Province, Hoai holds a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in law.

She is a member of the Politburo for the 13th and 14th terms and a Party Central Committee Secretary for both tenures.

Throughout her career, she has held several senior positions, including Deputy Head and Permanent Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.

At the end of 2025, the Politburo assigned her to lead the Party Committee overseeing the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central socio-political organizations.

She was later appointed chairwoman of the VFF Central Committee for the remainder of the 10th term.

Hoai is also a deputy to the 15th and 16th National Assembly.

Speaking at the congress, she described the trust placed in the newly elected committee members as “both an honor and a great responsibility.”

“We pledge absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; to uphold political integrity and moral standards; and to devote ourselves wholeheartedly to serving the nation and its people,” she said.

The 70-member Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 11th tenure debuts at the congress.

She added that the VFF Central Committee would continue promoting democracy, unity, innovation and collective responsibility in order to fulfill the goals set out by the congress, while strengthening the great national solidarity bloc and enhancing the role of the Fatherland Front in the country’s new development stage.

Hoai also called for continued support and coordination from the Politburo, the Secretariat, Party and State leaders, ministries, agencies, local authorities, intellectuals, overseas Vietnamese communities and member organizations of the Front.

The 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front took place from May 11 to 13 and marked the beginning of a new organizational structure in which socio-political organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and State now operate under the umbrella of the VFF.

During the congress, delegates selected 70 members for the Presidium of the VFF Central Committee, including 12 members for the Standing Committee holding positions such as chairwoman, vice chairpersons and secretary-general.

Eight additional vice chairpersons were appointed in a non-full-time capacity.
