
The second working day of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front featured several key agenda items, including personnel work for the organization’s Central Committee for the 2026-2031 term.
Delegates approved the personnel proposal for the 11th tenure and carried out the nomination process for the new Central Committee.
The congress agreed that the 11th-term Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front would comprise 405 members.
The Presidium of the Central Committee will include between 72 and 100 members, while the Standing Board will consist of 12 members.
Regarding the committee’s composition, the new Central Committee will include 62 heads of member organizations and 34 chairpersons of provincial and municipal Vietnam Fatherland Front committees.
The bloc of distinguished individuals will include 293 members.
Among them are 96 intellectuals and experts across various fields.
Of these, 92 were presented to the congress for nomination, while four additional members will be supplemented during the term.
The structure also includes 18 representatives of workers, farmers, armed forces personnel and island district representatives; 53 ethnic minority representatives; 53 religious dignitaries; 55 representatives from economic sectors; and 18 overseas Vietnamese.
Notably, the new personnel structure continues to ensure broad representation of the national unity bloc, with representatives from all 53 ethnic minority groups and 16 major religions, as well as religious organizations with large followings.
For full-time officials within the Central Committee agency, the structure includes 16 members.
Among them, the Standing Board accounts for seven members, while heads of departments and affiliated units account for nine.
The congress nominated seven of these positions, with two more to be added during the term.
Female delegates account for 93 members, or 23.4%.
Ethnic minority representatives total 105 members, making up 26.5%, while religious representatives account for 78 members, or 19.7%.
All of these ratios are higher than those recorded during the 10th tenure.
Regarding educational qualifications, 81.6% of committee members hold university degrees or higher, compared to 80.7% in the previous term.
The age structure was arranged to ensure a balance between continuity and renewal.
Among the members, 10.3% are under the age of 40, 45.1% are between 41 and 60 years old, and 44.6% are aged 61 and above.
At the congress, delegates nominated 397 individuals to participate in the 11th-term Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 period.
Among them, 309 members were reappointed, accounting for 77.8%, while 88 members are participating for the first time, accounting for 22.2%.
Eight positions remain vacant and will be supplemented during the term when suitable personnel become available.
