VN'S Health Ministry seeks clarification after Japan recalls Chinsu chili sauce

Photos of a promotion stand of the Chin-su chilli sauce, made by Masan Group, modelled after President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum have gone viral, sparking anger.

The promotion stand made of Chin-su chilli sauce bottles were showed at Lotte Mart Lieu Giai in Hanoi.

According to the ministry, the display violated the Law on Advertising related to the use of the national flag, national emblem and state, party and government leaders as well as national heroes.

Representatives of the ministry will work with the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports.

Many people thought the display in bad taste.

Masan have been asked to discontinue the display.
