Cambodia will do its utmost to work together with Vietnam in promoting the traditional bilateral relations, stated Tep Ngon, the Cambodian Senate’s Second Vice President, while receiving deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Nguyen Huy Tang in Phnom Penh on September 6.

Tep Ngon spoke of the outcomes of cooperation between the Parties, ministries and localities of the two countries, which, he said, have contributed to deepening their good neighbourliness, time-honoured friendship and comprehensive cooperation.

He expressed his hope that the two sides will maintain close coordination, strengthen the sharing of information, and tighten inspections over the implementation of bilateral cooperative agreements.

The Vietnamese official congratulated Cambodia on its achievements in the nation construction and development, showing his belief that the country will overcome all difficulties and reap more fruits in this cause.

He also proposed several measures to intensify the bilateral relations, for the interests of the two peoples and for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

The Vietnamese officials will stay in Cambodia till September 9.
