The conference "Introducing Cao Bang" recently took place in Hanoi to introduce the image, potential, strengths, investment opportunities of Cao Bang province to international partners. The event is expected to help Cao Bang expand the space for international integration, strengthen and deepen international connections, and promote investment cooperation in many fields.
According to Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province, with a border line of over 333km long, bordering the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, the province has a network of important border gates and many open paths and trails cross the Vietnam-China border.
Cao Bang province also has rich mineral resources, many iron, lead, zinc mines with large reserves, abundant sources of construction materials... and is famous for endemic agricultural products such as pears, black jelly, chestnuts, sticky rice, tangerines, tea...
Blessed by nature with many wild beauties, with the unique natural conditions of the northern mountainous region, Cao Bang has many ecological sub-regions, many magnificent landscapes that not only have biodiversity value, unique heritage, geology, geomorphology, but also many famous historical and archaeological relics such as Ban Gioc waterfall, Nguom Ngao cave, Thang Hen Lake, Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark, Phia Oac-Phia Den National Park…
In order to achieve the goal of making Cao Bang a dynamic, rapidly developing and sustainable province, the Provincial Party Committee has identified three strategic breakthroughs for the province in the coming time, including: developing sustainable tourism – service, smart agriculture and commercialized agriculture associated with processing, and border gate economic development.
Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh believed that with the province's efforts and determination, the practical results achieved at the conference would help open up many new cooperation prospects, attracting many investment resources into Cao Bang.
With the theme "Cao Bang: destination - connection and development", in the spirit of giving maximum support to domestic and foreign investors, businesses and partners to survey and implement investment activities in Cao Bang, the local authorities committed to maintain and implement a comprehensive foreign policy to bring the image of a friendly Cao Bang to international friends; further promote potentials and advantages, strengthen the expansion of development cooperation in all fields in depth, and a practical and efficient manner; properly implement signed agreements and cooperation minutes; improve coordination capacity, actively cooperate, promptly resolve emerging problems, aiming for stable and sustainable development.
According to Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc, the event "Introducing Cao Bang" demonstrated the province's desire to cooperate and develop more strongly in implementing the development goals set out in the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress and the Resolution of the 19th Congress of Cao Bang Party Committee. He believed that with abundant development potential and the right direction of the provincial leaders, Cao Bang can completely become the top choice of international partners in the near future.
Based on the motto "internal strength is fundamental, long-term strategy; external force is important for breakthrough", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will strengthen promotion and maximum support for representative agencies and international organizations, investors, businesses, business associations, non-governmental organizations... that want to invest and cooperate with Cao Bang, with a focus on the fields of tourism, trade, mining industry, high-tech agriculture, border gate economy, transportation...
At the conference, many presentations were made by provincial leaders, businesses, non-governmental organizations, embassies of foreign countries in Vietnam, besides exchanges and discussions between delegates, press agencies and Cao Bang officials about the province's potential, advantages, key areas.
Attendants also clarified the issue of cooperation in human resource development; tourism development orientation to ensure preservation of environmental landscape associated with heritage conservation, development of UNESCO Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark; measures to develop high-tech agriculture; policies, incentives, and planning for the agricultural sector; open policies, mechanisms and solutions to improve the investment and business environment; policies to attract ODA capital to develop urban and transportation infrastructure; favorable conditions for non-governmental organizations to operate and invest in the province...
