1. On February 17, Hai Ha, the mother of a 4-year-old boy who attends Kitty Kindergarten in Le Chan district of Hai Phong City, complained on social media that her son’s teacher poured water on the boy’s head as the boy piddled in the classroom.
Ha visited the leaders of the preschool to lodge complaints about the case, but she was disappointed by the uncooperative attitude from Kim Anh, the school’s deputy headmaster. Ha decided to post the clip showing how the teacher treated the boy on internet.
On February 23, the local authorities decided to suspend the teacher and dismiss Kim Anh.
2. On February 5, a clip was posted on internet by a Facebooker named Thanh Le, showing that a teacher hit on a student’s head with a slipper, making the child burst into crying. The clip also showed that the school’s teachers frequently committed acts of violence and threatened children.
Vu Thi Tan, deputy headmaster of Sen Vang Kindergarten, on the same day said that the school terminated labor contracts with the two teachers.
On February 6, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Nghia, in a dispatch to the Hanoi education department, commented that ‘this is anti-educational behavior that violates teacher ethics’.

3. In October 2016, via cameras at the Son Ca Kindergarten in Dong Hoi City of Quang Binh province, the parents of Cu Hoang Phi L, a 15-month-old boy, discovered violent behaviors committed by the babysitters there.
Le Thi Hoai Linh and Nguyen Tu Anh, the babysitters, were seen using a towel to tie a child's hands and feet, putting a towel in His mouth and beating him with a spoon.
The Dong Hoi City police have charged Linh and Tu Anh with "torturing others".
4. The principal of a kindergarten in Lao Cai province was seen holding a 4-year-old child upside down over a chicken plucking machine. With the help of another teacher, the principal threatened to put the child into the machine if he continued crying. The principal has been suspended on charges of mistreating children.
