Quan conveyed the Vietnamese Party chief’s congratulations to Xi on the success of the CPC’s 19th Congress and his re-election as General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee (19th tenure), and expressed wish that both sides will strive to further develop traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries.
The Party, State and people of Vietnam are delighted at the success of the CPC’s 19th Congress, he said.
The Vietnamese official expressed his belief that under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Xi as a nucleus, the Party, State and people of China will successfully achieve goals set by the 19th Congress and reap greater achievements in the cause of building and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics, he said.
Quan affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam always treasure the development of neighbourliness and comprehensive cooperation with the CPC and State of China, wishing that both sides would partner to realise common perceptions reached by the two Parties and countries’ leaders.
Vietnam appreciates and welcomes the upcoming State visit to Vietnam by General Secretary Xi and his attendance at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting 2017, contributing to further deepening Vietnam-China relations, he said.
Xi, for his part, said the CPC and himself always highly value ties with Vietnam and wished to propel relations between the two Parties and countries forward.
He expressed his support to Vietnam’s successful hosting of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting 2017 and conveyed his regards to the Vietnamese Party chief and other Party and State leaders.
Earlier, Quan held talks with head of the CPC Central Committee’s International Liaison Department Song Tao, during which Song affirmed that China consistently pursues the policy of developing peace and the goal of basically modernising socialism by 2035 and building a modern socialist nation that is prosperous, strong, democratic, civilised, harmonious and beautiful by the mid-21st century.-VNA
