A Chinese passenger named Zhang Jiang was seen stealing luggage of others on flight VN 600 Bangkok  – HCM City on January 19. He was filmed.


After the plane took off, passenger Zhang Guang Jin (Chinese nationality, born in 1969, seat 18G) opened a bag on the luggage racks of seat 15.

While the passenger was searching inside the bag, passenger Sarina Xuan Than Phan, the bag owner happened to see it and shouted. The Chinese passenger returned the bag and moved to another one.

Sarina Xuan Than Phan She reported the incident to the flight attendant, who told her to check her bag. Sarina confirmed that she did not lose anything in the bag.

This passenger also notified flight attendants that she saw the Chinese passenger opened another bag but she did not remember the position and was not sure whether that bag belonged to the Chinese passenger or not.

As Sarina did not lose anything, the flight attendants could only give a warning to the Chinese passenger.

Incidentally, Sarina was on the same bus from the plane to the terminal with the Chinese passenger and the owner of the bag that had been opened by the Chinese passenger.

She told the bag owner, who checked the bag immediately and found out to lose $620.

This passenger went back to the plane to report to the flight attendants. All involved people were asked to stay for investigation. However the lost money was not found.

The case was recorded and handed over to the police at the airport and the Southern Airport Authority for resolution

This is not the first time a Chinese passenger was detected of stealing money and assets of other passengers on flights of Vietnam Airlines.
