The event, Những Tài Năng Tỏa Sáng (Bright Talents), will offer circus, puppet, dance and fire art performances that have won top prizes at international circus festivals at home and abroad.
The highlights will include performances by young artists in colourful costumes who will perform on stage with light and sound effects. The programme, which features about 60 circus performers, will also include puppets and stimulating visual imagery.
“We hope our programme will not just dazzle audiences but also offer opportunities for circus artists to promote their art form,” said People’s Artist Tong Toan Thang, deputy director of the Vietnam Circus Federation.
“We offer both traditional and modern features to meet the high demand of audiences. HCM City and Da Nang are our big markets, following Hanoi.”
HCM City was the first city in the country to open a magic club in 2017. The club has attracted more than 40 magicians who mostly work in traditional art theatres and circus troupes.
The club offers shows and training for children and teenagers, while poor students and children from open houses and shelters receive free courses.
The programme, Những Tài Năng Tỏa Sáng, will be staged at 8pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Ben Thanh Theatre, on 6 Mac Dinh Chi Street in District 1, and Tien Son Sports Gymnasium in Da Nang. Tickets are available at the box office. VNS
