Contractors, engineers and workers are hurrying up constructing the Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien underground metro station of the Vietnam’s first metro line stretching on 20km.
The metro line running through districts 1, 2, 9, Binh Thanh and Thu Duc in Ho Chi Minh City and Di An in Binh Duong province is built at a cost of more than US$2.4 billion. The Opera House station is 30m under the ground with four basements. Nearly 200 workers are executing B2 and B3 basements, around 20m under the ground. There are three underground stations – Ben Thanh, Opera House and Ba Son. |
