Northern Vietnam will see temperatures gradually rise from February 10 (the 23rd day of the lunar month), as the latest cold snap weakens. According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, a brief cold air surge is expected to return around February 11–12 but will be weak and short-lived.

While the upcoming days will bring warmer weather and occasional sun, parts of the Northeast may still see scattered light rain on the nights of February 10 and 11, with lingering chill in mountainous regions.
From February 11–19 (the last days of the lunar year through the third day of the New Year), conditions across the North are expected to remain mild, with some morning fog and light drizzle. Daytime temperatures will gradually rise, reaching up to 26–29°C in the Northwest by mid-Tet.
However, between February 21–22 (the fifth and sixth days of Tet), another cold front is forecast to push temperatures down again. Widespread light rain is expected, and mountain areas may see cold or even severe cold conditions return.
In the Central region from Thanh Hoa to Hue, weather patterns mirror the North, with light rain and morning chill around February 11–12, followed by warmer days. Light rain is forecast to return on February 21–22, along with a drop in temperature in northern parts of the region.
Southern Central provinces will experience brief rain and thunderstorms, especially from February 10–12, but the weather will mostly be sunny during the day, with temperatures rising to 30°C.
In the Central Highlands, dry, sunny days and cool nights will dominate, with some scattered showers and thunderstorms likely in southern parts toward February 22.
The South, including Ho Chi Minh City, will enjoy stable dry conditions throughout the holiday. Only brief, localized showers may appear around February 11–12 and again from February 20 onwards. Daytime temperatures will hover around 30–34°C.
Hanoi will see occasional drizzle and overcast skies around February 10–11. From February 12 onwards, the capital will gradually warm up, peaking around 23–26°C before turning colder again after February 20, with lows dropping to 12–14°C.
