Cold air hits northern provinces from March 14

Today, the cold weather spreads the northeastern, northwestern and north- central provinces.

Because of its influence, small- medium rain and northeast monsoon of level 2-3 pour down the northeastern and north- central region on the large scale.

The lowest temperature is estimated to drop at 16- 18 degrees Celsius in the northeast region, including Hanoi, even under 15 degrees Celsius in the northern mountainous region.

By this evening, both the Gulf of Tonkin and the northern East Sea will see the northeast monsoon of level 6-8, big waves of 1.5- 2.5 meters and sea rough.

Tomorrow, the cold front is forecast to weaken and able to cause small rain, mist and high humidity in the northeast provinces, including Thanh Hoa and Hanoi.
