A contemporary dance performance by choreographer Vu Ngoc Khai will premiere in Hanoi on December 6. 

When Luong Hue Trinh started experimenting with electro-acoustic music in her final year at the Vietnam Academy of Music (VNAM), she didn't know much about them, just that she was falling in love with a new way of making music.

The contemporary dance, GAIA - Chúng Ta Là Một (Gaia - We are One), choreographed by Vietnamese-Canadian John Huy Tran, will be staged in HCM City this week.

Choreographer Vu Ngoc Khai will present a new show entitled Đáy Giếng (Into The Well) on June 28 in Hanoi. Khai currently works at the Konzert Theatre Bern, Switzerland.

A contemporary dance based on Truyện Kiều (The Tale of Kieu), the masterpiece by the great poet Nguyen Du, will be restaged at the HCM City Opera House on June 22.

Vietnamese – French choreographer Sebastien Ly, who has become famous in Vietnam in recent years, has always desired to develop the country’s contemporary arts.
