At a working session with provincial officials the same day, the Czech legislative leader said Vietnam has a fairly high growth rate compared to other ASEAN nations.
He expressed his hope that Quang Nam will continue creating optimal conditions to support Czech businesses’ effective investments in the province.
Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam People’s Committee Huynh Khanh Toan informed his guest that the province has made great socio-economic strides in recent years.
Its gross regional domestic product grew by nearly 12 percent annually during the past three years, which was largely contributed by tourism, he said adding that Quang Nam welcomed almost 3.2 million tourists from January through October 2015.
The Hydra Vietnam Co. Ltd with a total capital of 5 million EUR is the only Czech invested enterprise in Quang Nam. It started officials operations in early 2014 and has provided jobs for more than 200 people, he noted.
The official emphasised that his province hopes for expanded cooperation with Czech partners and wants the European country to bridge Quang Nam with Czech localities that share similarities with the Vietnamese province.
While in Quang Nam, the Czech Senate President visited the Hydra Vietnam Co. Ltd, a wholly Czech invested company at the Dien Nam – Dien Ngoc Industrial Park, and Hoi An town – a UNESCO-recognised World Cultural Heritage site.

Industrial, high-tech and centralised IT areas in the city have attracted a strong flurry of investments, he added.
Anh pledged support and optimal conditions for Czech businesses who are interested in operating in the city.
He noted his hope that the Czech Government will take measures to boost bilateral trade and create favourable conditions for the two countries’ businesses to seek partners and study the market in the respective countries, especially in infrastructure construction, energy and telecommunications.
The guest stated that Vietnam and the Czech Republic are enjoying a thriving relationship, which, he said will bring interests to their people.
On this occasion, Milan Stech and his entourage visited Hydra, an electronic company invested by the Czech Republic, in Dien Ban district’s Dien Nam-Dien Ngoc Industrial Park and Hoi An ancient town in the central province of Quang Nam.
