The event, jointly held by the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) and the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s SBS TV, will draw more than 120 female professional golfers, including 60 from the RoK, 20 from Thailand, and the remaining from Australia, Singapore, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan (China).

Vietnam currently has no female professional golfers, but between four and six golfers will still be allowed to compete at the event.

On the threshold of the event, from March 22 to 23, both male and female professional and amateur golfers will get a chance to compete with others.

SBS TV Director Kim Yoo Serk said that the 2016 Ladies Golf Championship will be broadcast live in five countries and repeated in numerous other countries across the world.

Dàlat at 1200 and SBS TV signed an agreement to organise the championship in the three consecutive years from 2016 to 2018, the director added.

The Dàlat at 1200 - the world’s first Country Club and Private Estate to become an accredited Asian Tour Destination – has an 18-hole golf course that meets international standards.
