Da Nang launches a competition to design a new city logo following administrative consolidation.

The city said the competition aims to establish an official logo that helps define and strengthen Da Nang’s brand identity. The selected design will be used in communication activities, serving political and social tasks while promoting the city’s image both domestically and internationally.

Entries must be original, unpublished and not previously used or submitted to other competitions. During the contest period, designs must not be used for commercial purposes or entered elsewhere.

According to the guidelines, submissions should clearly reflect Da Nang’s core values, including dynamism, compassion, creativity, integration and aspiration. Designers are encouraged to draw inspiration from local cultural heritage, iconic landscapes, historical sites, traditional craft villages, as well as intangible cultural and maritime heritage.

At the same time, the logo should embody the city’s development vision toward 2030 and 2050, with ambitions to become a modern, smart urban center and a national and international hub for finance, innovation and logistics. The design should also convey a society that develops in harmony with nature, ensuring prosperity and happiness for its people.

The logo is required to follow a modern, minimalist style, ensuring strong recognisability and flexibility across multiple platforms. Authorities will organise a public consultation process before making the final selection.

The preliminary judging, public consultation and final round are expected to be completed in June, with the award ceremony scheduled for the end of the year.
