On the evening of March 24, the city’s traffic police said they had received information and were urgently investigating a case involving a rider lifting the front wheel of a motorcycle while in motion.

Earlier the same day, a clip circulated on social media showing a foreign man riding a motorcycle with licence plate 43AB-291.XX along the road leading to Tien Son Bridge, travelling from Ngu Hanh Son ward towards Hoa Cuong ward.

During the journey, the rider suddenly performed a wheelie while the vehicle was still moving, posing a serious risk of a traffic accident.

After being posted online, the video quickly drew widespread attention, with many expressing outrage over the reckless behaviour, which endangered other road users and showed disregard for the law.

Under Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, riding a two-wheeled vehicle on one wheel is subject to a monetary fine, along with suspension of the driving licence for 22 to 24 months and confiscation of the vehicle.
