According to Tuan, relocating the administrative center would have a major impact on the city's socioeconomic structure as well as residents' lives.

Therefore, if the proposal is studied, it must be considered within the city's overall long-term development strategy, ensure consistency with the approved Master Plan, and carefully take into account infrastructure, investment resources, traffic organization and potential impacts.

Tuan said that, as of now, the idea of relocating the administrative center has only reached the stage of research and proposals put forward by experts at workshops.

Before adopting any direction or making any policy decision, the city will carry out all required procedures, including consulting central ministries and agencies as well as residents.

"As of now, the city has not adopted any official policy or made any official decision related to relocating the Da Nang administrative center," Tuan said.

Tuan added that Da Nang is currently working on adjustments to the city's Master Plan.

As part of this process, after consultations with municipal departments and agencies as well as central ministries and agencies, any necessary adjustments will be publicly announced and subjected to the required consultation procedures.

If any proposed adjustments involve relocating the administrative center, they will also be considered in accordance with the prescribed process in the coming period.

Da Nang's administrative center is currently housed in a 34-story building on Tran Phu Street in Hai Chau Ward.

The building served as the administrative headquarters of Da Nang before the city's merger with Quang Nam province.

Previously, at several planning consultation workshops, some experts proposed studying the possibility of relocating the administrative center to the southern area to ease pressure on the city center and create new space for Da Nang's development.
