The Da Nang Food Tour Festival 2025 will be held in the central beach city from March 28 to April 1, promising unforgettable culinary experiences for both locals and visitors, the municipal Department of Tourism announced on March 13.

Director of the Tourism Department Truong Thi Hong Hanh said the festival will take place at Bien Dong (East Sea) Park. The opening ceremony, at 7:30 pm on March 28, will feature vibrant art performances and unique culinary showcases, including bartender demonstrations and noodle-making performances.

Throughout the festival, various culinary spaces will be floated, highlighting local cuisine, specialties of Vietnamese regions, and international delicacies. A dedicated Da Nang Food Fun experiential zone will offer visitors hands-on opportunities to prepare traditional dishes such as banh xeo (Vietnamese savory pancakes), goi cuon (fresh spring rolls), and banh it (sticky rice dumplings).

Additionally, the Da Nang Food Tour – The Chef Competition will bring together more than 20 professional and amateur cooks from hospitality and restaurant sectors. Participants will not only showcase their cooking skills but also present their dishes with creative storytelling and artistic plating.

Another highlight of the festival is the Da Nang Food Tour Culinary Passport programme, allowing visitors to collect stamps in exchange for exclusive gifts.

The Tourism Department, in collaboration with food businesses, will issue 5,000 culinary passports bilingual in Vietnamese and English. Holders of these passports will receive special discounts at selected restaurants, as well as transportation incentives through the "Da Nang Food Tour" discount code for Xanh SM taxis. Furthermore, those who collect 10, 20, 30, 40, or 50 stamps will be eligible for various gifts.

Hanh revealed that Da Nang is preparing to welcome tourists with a wide range of festivals and special events throughout 2025, particularly in March. The Food Tour Festival is a new product expected to enhance the city's culinary tourism offerings, promoting not only local and Vietnamese cuisine but also international gastronomy, with the long-term goal of establishing Da Nang as a prominent food tourism destination.

In 2025, Da Nang aims to attract 11.9 million visitors, marking a 10% increase from 2024. Of these, international arrivals are expected to reach 4.8 million. Revenue from accommodation, dining, and travel services is projected to surpass 36 trillion VND (over 1.4 billion USD)./.VNA
