The Organizing Board of the Vietnam Specialty Coffee Competition 2023 held a ceremony to announce and present the Vietnamese specialty coffee awards to businesses with products meeting specialty coffee quality according to international standards on April 28, in Buon Ma Thuot City. 

The competition was launched in September 2022 with the participation of 47 businesses from 7 coffee growing provinces across the country. 

The jury selected 71 samples with 80 points or more (according to the international scale), certified as specialty coffee, including: 48 samples of Robusta coffee, 23 samples of Arabica coffee; Top 10 specialty Arabica coffee products and top 10 specialty Robusta coffee products.

For the top 3 Robusta coffee products, the first prize belonged to Phan Em coffee (Dak Lak province); the second prize went to Highland Pearl Joint Stock Company (Dak Lak province); the Third prize went to Phuc Minh Trading Company Limited (Dak Lak province).

For the top 3 Arabica coffee products, the first prize was awarded to Pun Coffee Company Limited (Quang Tri province); the second prize to Carabu Coffee Company Limited (Dak Lak province); and the third prize to MTV Minudo Farm - Care Company Limited (Dak Lak province).

In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded Cups to the companies that won the specialty coffee awards for 3, 4, and 5 consecutive years; The firms with the most favorite samples, including the Arabica coffee sample of Carapu Coffee Co., Ltd. and the Robusta coffee sample of Highland Pearl Joint Stock Company.

In particular, for the top 3 businesses, in addition to the Cup and Certificate, they also received many very valuable rewards such as overseas professional training courses, roasted coffee grinders, and cash.

The "Vietnam - VietNam Amazing Cup" Specialty Coffee Competition is an annual national event. The Vietnam Specialty Coffee Competition 2023 marked a 5-year journey of continuous and widespread development of the Vietnamese coffee industry.

The coffee samples that received the specialty certification 2023 will have the opportunity to participate in a pilot auction, thereby capturing the need to participate in the auction, moving towards a professional organization of live or online auctions, to diversify trade and increase the prices of specialty coffee.
