So far, contractors have completed 100% of the low roof and are moving on with the higher roof. The facility is slated for completion at the middle of November, the investor, Danang International Airport Investment and Exploitation Joint Stock Co., said in a report presented to the Ministry of Transport on October 13.

Besides, contractors expected to finish glass wall installation at the end of December. From early November to February 28, 2017, they will install aviation control devices, and build a parking lot and other works.

From March 15 to April 29, 2017, the investor plans to test run the terminal before its inauguration on April 30, 2017.

With the current progress, it is feasible to launch the terminal into use on April 30 next year, the enterprise commented.

The project has three main sections: a terminal, a flyover and a parking lot. Once completed, it will have 20 check-in counters, 22 check-out desks and 10 boarding gates.

The terminal is expected to serve four million passengers a year. The project has total investment capital of VND3.5 trillion (US$158 million).

After running the new terminal, the current international terminal at Danang Airport will become a domestic platform. The airport expects to receive 2.3 million passengers in 2022 and four million passengers in 2025.
