Danang City has invited renowned artisan Dinh Van Tam from Quang Tri Province to create two snake mascots for Lunar New Year 2025. The installations will be placed at the T-shaped bridge near Danang Museum and the park at the Dragon Bridge’s tail end.

On January 9, Danang’s Urban and Industrial Construction Project Management Board announced its collaboration with contractors for the city’s 2025 spring flower road. Artisan Dinh Van Tam, known for his exceptional Tet mascots, was commissioned to design the snake sculptures.

The project’s timeline aims to complete the snake mascots and accompanying floral and lighting decorations at the Dragon Bridge park by January 25.

Dinh Van Tam gained widespread attention for his Tet mascots, including tigers, cats, and dragons, that went viral during the Lunar New Year celebrations in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

According to Danang’s Department of Construction, the city’s 2025 Lunar New Year decoration project includes floral and lighting installations at 14 locations and lighting-only decorations at eight additional sites.

The total investment for the project exceeds VND 18 billion (approximately USD 760,000).

Key areas such as the September 2 Memorial and the March 29 Square will also see expanded floral displays to enhance the festive atmosphere.
