Residents and tourists gathered to watch the AgiBot Lingxi X2 humanoid robot dance to music at the fourth Ho Chi Minh City Green Growth Products and Services Exhibition, known as GRECO 2026, on Nguyen Hue Walking Street.

The exhibition is part of the Autumn Economic Forum 2026 (AEF 2026) and is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC).

Visitors eagerly observed and interacted with humanoid robots inside a technology demonstration area covering approximately 600 square meters.

The exhibition space was developed by AICAP Group in collaboration with AIBrain, AIRobo and the China Robot Industry Development Alliance (CDRA).

It brought together representatives from more than 30 Chinese companies and research institutes specializing in robotics and artificial intelligence.

Many visitors tested their skills against professional AI-powered chess robots developed by technology company SenseTime.

The robots can play Go, international chess and Chinese chess, offering visitors opportunities to compete against artificial intelligence.

The Chinese chess robot features 26 difficulty levels and more than 100 endgame scenarios. It also supports voice interaction and online matches.

Meanwhile, the Go-playing version offers more than 2,000 specialized exercises designed to help players improve their strategies and tactical skills.

Another humanoid robot entertained visitors through interactive demonstrations.

Operators could remotely control the robot to shake hands, dance and perform various other movements.

Humanoid robots showcased at the exhibition were priced between VND180 million and VND1 billion, approximately $6,800 to $38,000.

Unitree's quadruped robot also attracted attention with its ability to move flexibly, avoid obstacles and climb slopes.

For more entertaining demonstrations, the four-legged machines were fitted with decorative designs resembling pandas, dinosaurs, elephants and dogs.

Robotic arms capable of preparing beverages and filming videos were another popular attraction.

Visitors lined up to enjoy coffee prepared by robots and have short video clips recorded using automated camera equipment.

Beyond the entertainment-focused demonstrations, GRECO 2026 featured technologies developed by Vietnamese universities, research institutes and businesses.

These innovations covered artificial intelligence, biomedical technology, agriculture and environmental protection.

Vietnamese technology company RtRobotics, which has exported unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to the United States, introduced two drone models, Hera and Vega.

The Hera can carry a payload of 14 kilograms and is designed for both civilian and military applications.

It can be folded and packed into a backpack in approximately one minute.

The Vega, meanwhile, has a payload capacity of 20 kilograms and is specifically designed for military purposes.

Another exhibit was a new-generation automated rubber-tapping robot standing 2.1 meters tall and weighing 650 kilograms.

The machine uses a laser positioning system and a sensor-equipped robotic arm to automatically determine the appropriate tapping depth and cutting path according to technical standards.

The model displayed at the exhibition was priced at approximately VND400 million, or $15,200.

GRECO 2026 is open to the public free of charge from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily through October 29.

The Autumn Economic Forum 2026 runs from October 26 to 29 and marks its first collaboration and co-branding arrangement with the World Economic Forum (WEF).

Held under the theme The Spirit of Cooperation in a New Era, the forum is chaired by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and organized by the city's Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR).
